turning up boost on a greddy kit?
small run down. i have a d16z6, i'm running a greddy turbo set up for an integra LS with hondata s300...i know the greddy actuator is set to 5psi, but i want to run 8-10psi..can i make this happen with installing a manual boost controller and turning it up or does something need to be done with the actuator?
thanx in advance.

i believe a boost controller will also work.
but remember if the actuator arm is set for a higher boost than the controller it will continue to build boost until the external wastegate opens.

its internally gated, which i think you already know which is why i'm having a tough time figuring out what you mean. do you think i should use a MBC or control it with the threaded rod? my intentions were to have the car tuned at 10psi and run 8psi most of the time with an MBC in the cabin so i can turn it up to 10 every now and then when i'm looking to have alil more fun.
my bad, yes internally gated. (i used to have the greddy kit myself)
if you have money for a MBC you can install that and leave the rod alone. - if you don't you can adjust the threaded rod as stated above and see where it gets you boost wise.
what are you using for a EMS?

Exactly! I installed a MBC on my greddy kit when i had it and brought it to 12psi no problem
