I just picked up this turbo on the cheap, and I'm trying to figure out exactly what it is. The seller called it a G28, from a Nissan Skyline of some sort, and I've deduced I think it is some variation of the GT28. But I want to buy a flange for the discharge side, and I need to know the actual model so I get the right one. Here's a few shots of it:







The input side is a T3 flange, and the discharge has that 'rectangular' bolt pattern, with spacing of about 2" x 2.75" (or 50 mm x 70 mm), and discharge port of around 2.25" diameter. The ID tag is gone off the turbo and the only markings are:

V03 on turbine housing
063 and 39U on compressor housing
2 indented, then 43R raised right beside it on the compressor housing
AirResearch Pat. No. 3058787

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Yeah, sorry about the pics, I'm kind of a noob posting up pics on here and I have no idea how to resize them.

But I already know it's a T3, I need to know exactly what the code is, e.i. GT28R, GT28RS, or whatever. Thanks though. Anyone else have any ideas/insight?

 

t3 60 trim aka super 60.

 

OK, thanks, sounds about right from what I've Googled about the Super 60's. Although I read more than once that a '60 trim' and a 'Super 60' are two different things. Is this true?

 

yes the common 60 trim is a t3/t4. a super 60 is a straight t3.
