b16 bogging at beginning of vtec

i have a b16 and everytime at the start of vtec it bogs for a second and then goes and cuts out at 8000rpm and throws a cel. what could cause this?

well what cel dose it throw you should start trouble shooting there find out what code is in the ecu memory and trouble shoot that first

What is Vtec set at? Might be too low

its still throwing a cel thats a clear sighn of problem right there
