Default slick size ?

getting ready to order slicks and dont want to do it twice

my question mh 23x8x13 or mh 24.5x8.5x13

last time at the track on bfg drag radials 225 50 15 i was trapping 116 bouncing off the rev limiter about 5 times 97 jdm itr tranny stock block usdm gsr turbo made 330 whp 220 trq on a mustang dyno in an eg hatch weighing 2250 with no one in it

according to the honda tranny calculator 4th gear rev to 8200 on 23s max speed is 115
on 24.5 is 122

the car is about 250lbs lighter than last time at the track and later im planning on doing a race gas tune shooting for around 400whp

thanks in advance

how bad were you spinning the dr's? when they spin you make the track longer. with that power i would use 23's

if you are goin after 400whp on fuel, then go with the 24.5's

the dr's hooked in third i was keepin out of the throttle 1st and 2nd to keep from spinning to much

my thought on the 24.5's is gearing at the end due to the low geared tranny

your best bet would be to go with the 24.5 for two reasons, one you plan on upgrading power and the 24.5's will be better for that and two being able to gain a few more mph will benefit you so you dont have to shift into 5th
