Default Discontinued part search: B17A1 Crankshaft

So Autozone, Napa, Kragens, JH Motorsports, and the dealership don't have the crankshaft for the B17A1........carterperformance.com is the only one that I can find that has a kit......is there anyone that can help? My problem is that standard rod bearings leave too much oil clearance and .010 oversize leave no oil clearance at all, is there anything that can be done other than a new crank? I have been trying to rebuild my B17 but I have been running into wall after wall thanks to the previous owner....

Chances are that they haven't done a reman job on a b17a1 before, they were very limited production compared to how many integras that were sold from 92-93. It's similar to a b16 crank, the block is almost the same it's the crank that makes the different displacement. I'd imagine it would cost around the price of getting any other b series crank remaned, they probably want to see it to see how bad it is. Whats the reason for the need of a new crank.

The standard bearings leave too much clearance and the oversize (.010) left no clearance.

It's shouldn't be too bad then, all they have to do it machine it to the over size bearing specs, .010 smaller than the OEM specs. Just bring it to the shop and get a quote.

Getting a used one you would probably have to get it refinished anyways.

yeah, Mon. I take it and the rods in so they can check it out and I'm hoping it turns out cheaper than a reman cuz as it is I'll have to borrow the money.
