Default what is crankwalk?

i heard a lot of dsm's get this...im guessing it has something to do with the crank...what exactly is crankwalk and how does it happen in these dsms?

crank walk is "side to side" movement

the crank rocks around, rather than just spinning. it could be because of the turbo...and not sufficient bearings. but im not sure off hand.

Crank walk is movement of the case, and alot of dsm's dont get crankwalk in terms of numbers, little to no 1st generations get it, and about 5% of 2g's get it, and many of those are highly modified.

it hasnt totally been figured out...one of the possibilities is the inner oil lines to the bearings in conjunction with the different oil sprayers on the two different blocks. the problem only exists in minimal amounts but again like said before it occurs mostly on very highly modified vehicles. search google for the dsm crank walk and ull get millions of sites
