Wobbly shifter on my 98 EK Hatch
I have a REALLY really really Wobbly shifter, bud says might be bushings and so we looked at it..and it was really rusty down there. Should we try and tighten it to fix it? or can i buy like new parts for it? any ideas?
new bushings.. you can go aftermarket if you want like energy suspension bushings.. But yeah you can see if its loose down there first.. also check the boot to see if its ripped or not

The bushings are cheap and easy to get at any performance car place, like $12-14
I bought a pair for my type r linkage last month. It's a 15 mins install

I just fixed the same problem on my 97 hatch. I changed all the bushings (2 and the engine, and the one behind the shifter under the car) and problem solved. Got all the parts from Honda for a total of $35~ CDN.
u dont need to change the linkage.just do the bushings, but check the bolt at the bottom of the shifter first.but dont tighten it to much cause it will make it to tight and hard to move the shifter
