Default Advice needed on shifter/shifter bushings, etc.

I have stock Type R shifter, linkage, etc...its just sloppy. I can't find any good reads with the new layout on this site. It makes searching a lot harder. Can someone give me some advice on what I can buy to get more of a solid shifter in my car? Whether it be a new linkage, bushings, new shifter,etc...please show me the light haha

Just roll with the stock shifter. Get you a new set of energy suspension shifter bushings.

because its either that or getting a gfroce longshifter form T1 racing and your talking big money when a stock shifter with bushing kit works VERY well

so the stock shifter with better bushings will help eliminate some of that "not going into gear" feeling? I want something more knotchy like a V8 style T-56..I know it'll never be the same since we have a linkage, but do bushings make that much of a noticeable difference?

bushing smake a noticable difference but honda trannys shift shooth so it will never be like a junk v8 LOL

Only 10% of slop is from the stock bushing. 45% of most slop is in the joints by the bitch pin, the other 45% is from loose/worn bolts/washers at the bottom of the shift lever.

The joints can be pinched together to remove that slop (wear on the nylon parts), or replaced with a new linkage. The bolts/washers replaced rather cheaply (OEM-only!) if they are the issue. I highly recommend going with something like a Skunk2 lever that has bearings, that will secure the shift lever onto the linkage very securly. Just make sure you replace the bearings with sealed units, or cover them with wheel bearing grease to prevent rust.
