what cams to use on a built d16z6
i'm planning on 2 settings 220hp street and 300hp at the circuit
my engine as follows is:
9:1 compression
Arias forged pistons
Eagle rods
Arp head studs
cometic 3 layer head gasket
JG cylinder head ported polished
forged crank
block guards
skunk2 intake manifold
Accel 750cc fuel injectors
Aem fuel rail and regulator
Aem cam gear
Hondata s300 with boost control
i will be running a garret GT2560R
I wont be going over 7600rpm
as im running a short geared tranny setup.
This will be a track/solo sprints and a semi daily driver.
After endless searching No one cam is ever at the top
I have been told that the stage 2 crowers are great the N/A street/strip and turbo one.
and the zex 59300 is what most run , and 59500 i cant really find any info on
atm i know a few guys selling the 59500 and the crower stage2 N/A.
i will be upgrading springs and retainers, i just need to know what cam i should be running

contact bisimoto.. they can gear something up for you!
some suggestions: stock crank will more than hold that power, and no need for a block guard... Spend your money other places!

I made 304hp @ 14.5 psi and 324 @ 16 psi on less compression, non ported head, and s2k intake manifold using a zex/comp 59300 cam on my built d16z6 so it should easily meet your power goals assuming everything else is up to the task.
I also agree with going with the stock crank and not using a block guard.

Sorry but i'm new here and seems like asking questions more than answering. Finding this very thread is like finding a needle on a haystack.. Anyway, I have a 95 civic dx with a d16y7 swap, but i snapped the rods that's why i'm swapping it into a d16z6. The d16z6 is from a 95 ex auto. Would this be compatible to my manual dx? Can i use my stock ecu, harness?? What else do i need for this swap?
Any help would be appreciated

?? Yes the transmission will bolt on and the motor will drop into place. You need a p28 ecu also keep things clean and buy a vtec wiring harness. Try to take the p28 of the donor car, if the CEL bothers you then you can make that p28 see your 5sp transmission very easily.
