BLock Guard
Eagle Rods
OEM Bearings
Vitara Pistons
Ported & Polished head
SuperTech Valve train
Comp 59300 Cam
Skunk2 Adjustable Cam Gear
AEM FPR & Fuel Rail

JDM D15B Tranny With LSD
Competition Stage 5 clutch
Competiton Ultra Light Flywheel
Fluidyne Pulley
Skunk2 IM
Skunk2 68mm TB (Port matched)
BlackWorks Intercooler with 2.5 Piping
Greddy type-s BOV
4 bar Map Sensor
ARP head studs
Tial 38mm Wastegate (Open Dump)
Mini Ram equal length Mainfold
Full 3 inch exhaust
3 inch Down pipe
Cometic .056 Head Gaskget
Hondata S300
AEM Uego Wideband
AEM Tru Boost Guage
AEM Digital Oil Pressure guage
Here's my dilemma, I just notice some scaring on my STD bore d16z6 that has the Vitara's on it and it will be needed to be bore to 75.5mm so i will have to get new pistons anyways. I was thinking of going with the SC7127 CP Pistons instead (10.5:1) of the 9.0:1. With my head gasket it will drop the compression to 10.01:1. I have already ordered my turbo (Precision CEA 5557 Billet) and was wondering if the Compression would be to high? This is NOT my DD, Its my play toy. I am thinking I can hit my goal of 400 HP with less boost and a faster spool time with 10:1 rather than 8.5:1.
What do you guys think? I know the tune will have to be spot on so it doesn't detonate. Also Im thinking Of upgrading to ID1000cc injectors too.

Im a big fan of high compression and boost. However 10:1 isnt even that high. I would recommend E85 if you can get it. ID1000s will be big enough but youll need more fuel pump.
I would recommend ditching the block guard it can do more harm than good. With different expansion rates than the rest of your block it can distort your cylinder bores and could have been the reason your wall were scorn. Also with stock sleeves I would personal go with 9:1 instead. You will reduce the chance of detonation which will end up cracking a factory sleeve.
If you are in need of pistons I would recommend the Bisimoto forged pistons we have to offer the D-series community that have been designed with larger valve releases and have been proven for 800+whp of course with proper supporting parts and tuning.

yeah i agreed with above ^ to ditch the block guard. ive seen way better luck without one. like myslef i dont have a block guard and running 30-35psi right now
ID1000s are really good just gonna want e85 with that compression and boost and need more fuel pump.

Hmmm... thats prolly what messed up my cylinder walls then, now getting it out will be the hard part (atleast for the machine shop). I wanted to go with a higher Compression ration cause I really didnt like the Vitara's (7.6-7.8:1 on std length eagle rods) spool time. to me it was to low and seemed like I didnt have a broad enough powerband ( vitara's + t3/t3 57 trim ebay turbo+ stock ported head)on a street tune. Now gonna get it dyno'd with the 5557 Billet after my rebuild.
