theres no thread because it is relatively straight forward. remove everything that is part of the system.
remove the unit in the engine bay.
go under the dash and remove the cable that the unit connects to the gas pedal. if you want to go even further remove the cruise control unit under the drivers side kick panel.
and finally enjoy the 5 pounds you have removed.

ahh okay, so the cable that goes through the firewall is connected to the gas pedal? just remove that then the unit from the engine bay, mmk sounds pretty straight forward i guess then, I thought there was more too it. Should I disconnect the negative battery while i do this?

Let's get right down too it..
Tools required

First off Disconnect the battery...give it a couple minutes.
Now then first thing I did was remove the lines that come from the actuator, simply follow the lines and it'll lead you to this...

just give that line a tug...
Once it's removed you're gonna wanna take out your handy dandy vacuum caps, these were bought at autozone.

then cap the opening where the line was.

Next

pretty straight forward right?
This is what it should look like

Now that those pesky lines are out
this thing is left behind...

now you may have your windshield wiper squirter tube thingys there so you can leave it...
but this is what I did.
[br]
Moving right along

Simply disconnect...

Next remove these three 10mm bolts

Then

I forgot to take a picture of where that tube leads too, but it's the same process simply pull.
lastly the tricky part...(not that tricky)

To remove this cable, it's best to get someone to step on the gas to loosen the tension then I kind of wiggled it out...lol
on the inside of the car the cable is attached to the gas pedal I just kinda wiggled that out as well with a flat tip...
The outcome

Too fill the hole I got lucky and found this plug... works for now

Thanks for the write up PeeKeesh, it is pretty straight forward.. My cc doesn't work at all, hence the reason why I'm taking it out. I'll keep my sunroof and other power options though, but thanks. lol it doesn't bother me not having it now so it won't later.
never know man, when i got my car i didnt give a **** what it had, 2 years later im adding keyless and sometimes want cc for the long trips.
But i gotta say, the bay does look better without all the crap in it

Yeah bro, I recently drove to Vac. Washington to pick up a car for my friend and back and it was pretty long, but honestly long trips make me sleepy and CC would only make it worse :O
Nah, couple of my friends went, I decied to sleep in and go out that night
to bein 21!!!!
they said there was a lot of cars some nice some not...
I really like having my ballasts hidden, I have been pulled over several times where my hood has gotten poped and they bitch and moan about hids, but cant find the ballasts so i never get anything other then ok have a nice night.
