Chipped & added vtec to p06 now will not show code
I chipped my friends p06 (1720 board) in his 93 auto Del Sol after we swapped a JDM 3stage vtec D15B in. I used a rpm switch to operate the 12 to 16 valve change over & it worked fine. No check engine light. I got a vtec kit from Xenocron & added it to run the 3rd stage cam lobe swap. The auto trans will not let the car rev high enough to really use the 3rd stage. So we pulled the rpm switch out & used the vtec out on the ecu to control the 12 to 16 valve changeover. A few seconds after it comes on the check engine light comes on the car stumbles, when the rpms fall the light goes out. When I try to get the cel code nothing happens.
For a test we unplugged the o2 sensor & the check engine light came on & the car ran ruff after a sec. The check eng light came on but would not blink with the motor on or off. The ecu will not show codes & it started after I added vtec. I have checked to make sure that I installed everything correct 3 times.
We also plugged a p28 in & cranked the car unpluged the o2 the car didn't run ruff this time & that ecu would flash a code.
I hope someone on here has an idea of what to try.
thanks

We tried another chipped ecu (without vtec) that has run a car for 2yrs & it did the samething. I tried the ecu I chipped in my 92 GSR with my map on it & my car wouldn't run.
