This is my first Honda.. Its an 87 CRX SI... I didn't see an area for the 87 CRX, this was the closest thing to it...

1987 CRX si 5 speed with 170xxx,

The car isn't going to have anything major done, but I figured I would show my work...

The car was bought for $750. Day one fuel pump is going to be replaced (Tomorrow) since I ran the tank dry and merked it test driving it...

The car was red, someone JDM primer'd it black, w/e, IDC, I'll clean up the paint sometime down the road.

It has 2 quarter sized rusted out holes in the spare tire area, which will be welded with chicken wire and new plates.

Rear windows are tinted with probably about 5%-20%, IDK really.

The interior has been taken apart. The owner was looking for rust and only found those 2 spots in the tire area... I will be putting in floor mats. (Interior pics come tomorrow.

AC/Heat works, all the lights work, etc etc. Should be a fun car to work on.

Word! I got the fuel pump half way out, but ran out of time...

I have to remove the rubber fill tube to get to the damper side of the pump...

 

Heck yeah, nice Hond! Engine bay a lil rough but maaan that body is in great shape for these cars. That nose is all lined up real nice and I didn't notice any cracks. The factory front air dam will make it look even better if you can find one

Got one but its rough. This car was hit hard on driver side, so no window glass, so before I got to it it had sat for a decade in the weather

The shitty fuel pump... I couldn't get the damper off, since I didn't have my larger wrenches... had to leave it sit over night..


Current interior with that stupid riced steering wheel.

 

Dude I just bought an 87 crx si for 400 bucks and its all stock but any ways those rims throw some paint stripper on them and they look great polished if your not going to rim it up I am currently looking for body kits for mine its hard to find body parts for them if any one can help shoot me a pm

The previous owner has adjusted the stupid height adjustment screws really low.... it slams on everything.....

 

Where are those adjustment screws located I need mine a inch lower in the front

 

well... it reduces the shock travel and you basicly slam on everything... LOL...

 

Heck it worth a shot around here most roads are smooth enough to slam a car lol

use a tape measure between the bottom of the fender & top of the tire for reference; will post spec 2moro
