ok well heres the thing i currently have the invidia v3 dual... and i just purchased a header and test pipe and am going to be getting tuned next month..now i was thinking of switching it up to the greddy tic 70mm singe... but do you guys think it will makea big difference in power wise over my invidia dual? lmk what you guys think

 

70mm singles have been proven to make more power over duals. Since your already @ 70mm dual, gains would be minimal at best.

 

im not going to say that all 70mm exhaust are the same and every 60mm exhaust are the same, because there arent...but i doubt there is much difference between those two that you mentioned. I just ordered my Invidia Q300 and im excited. If you were going to switch it up to the T1R 70-EM then maybe there would be a decent gain over the invidia considering that one yields the most WHP gain from what i have researched. I think your wasting you money to go from Invidia to Greddy if your original exhaust is in great condition. Do you have a 70mm Test Pipe? If not, that could help free up some extra horses.

well im installing my hytech header with a 70mm test pipe and going for a tune next month... but also the invidia dual is 70mm into 2 60mm pipes to the mufflers... so i would think that a single 70mm would be beneficial correct?

yup - better flow & lighter exhaust i'm guessing too, but it's gonna be louder imo..

 

yea even though the main pipe of the invidia is 70mm the rest is 60 which in my eyes is kina bottle necking it....imo so the tic 70mm straight throug will make more power..

 

Go as big as you can. The HKS 75mm sounds promising.

 

i really think imo that 75mm is too big for na..... yes people have been starting to run it but no one has any dynos or anything proving that it shows power. 70mm singles have been proven time and time again.. and besides even if it does make power it not gona make like 15 more whp over a 70mm... if any maybe 3-4 max ya know.

 

The bigger the more power, you will definitely feel a difference in power, it will pull hard and loud top end.

No but going from a 70mm to 60mm dual to 75mm single you will.

 

People thought I was foolish putting a 3" on my NA 1.8GSR build, until it made 220whp 152tq... bigger the better unless your building your powerband about autoX or road racing.

 

A 3" exhaust makes power everywhere, even at 3k, on an H22 vs a 2.5" exhaust.
