Default buying used s2000 dilemma

hey guys, this may be a dumb question so please forgive me... I'm just not familiar with FI and s2000's. I'm looking to buy a used '04 BB that used to run the greddy turbo kit (w/no problems [I stalked his posts]) but has now been returned to stock form. I assume one has to "detune" the car when taking the turbo/supporting mods off and putting the stock parts back on? I am not clear on whether or not he has retuned it after doing so...

What should I look out for when I go to test drive tomorrow? Any help is MUCH appreciated!!

If the stock ECU is in place, it'll run normal.

^thanks for the reply. I believe he was running a piggyback so I'm guessing he had just reloaded the stock map. I'm coming from the subaru scene & open source tuning so I'm not real familiar with n/a motors and boost! do you think there is any possible headache in the future since the car had been running boost on stock internals for a little while?

should be fine, all you have to do is disconnect the negative battery terminal to reset the ECU so that it will re-learn the values. I don't foresee anything catastrophic from removing boost, metal doesn't fatigue that fast but do a leakdown and see what numbers you get if it's really a concern.

I think it might depend on the PSI that he ran when boosted.
