No speedo/trip/vtec - ITR swap
93 del Sol Si, 96 B18C Spec R.
Just got this car and it has none of the above, we swapped to a known working VSS and did not solve the problem. Car has a chipped P72. Also throws a VSS code.
Apparently it all worked before he put a new clutch in it, sensor looks fine and we didn't notice anything with the wires, grounds are all good as well.
My tach and most other gauges work fine besides Speedo/Trip

make sure the vss didnt pop up, this happened to me once, vtec wont engage if theres a vss issue, and none of the other things you mentioned will work, inspect the hell out of that vss and everything associated with it
It throws the code but we've bolted in a known working vss and its a no go. Going to check wiring soon but don't know what else to do but try a diff ecu/cluster.
Tried 2 other known working VSS's, tried another ECU, tested the grounds and continuity of all the speed sensor wires and all are fine in the engine bay, all are fine to the ECU.
The last possible thing it can be is the cluster, so we're going to try it..
This is seriously annoying as hell and I have no idea what else could be going on.
