Jdm ITR tranny for boost????
Ive got a 98 spec jdm itr tranny 4.7 vis diff is anyone using one with boost . Ill be making close to 700whp on c16 also 24.5 mt 10k rev .Im scared it will be to short geared also its a dd. any input would be helpful.
i think for drag with that power that is the worst tranny you can have. Your going to be all over the rev limiter and be in 5th gear going thru the traps lol..A gsr or ls will be way better for you
I have the 4.75 F.D. ITR tranny, and it rocks on the street as far as acceleration, but sucks at the track. Ran it on 23X8's and the rev limiter practically laughed me off the track. :-) Im switching to 24.5's and a GS-R F.D. for the track & an throwing in an LS 5th for highway mileage. Cruising at 70 mph hitting 4k rpm aint cool, lol!

keep the itr tranny and change to a mfactory 4.05 final drive..also with 10k redline u mignt not need it try their gear calculstor and it will tell u at wat rpm u gonna cross the finished line...
what im using right now is the jdm ctr 4.4 but changed to wantwin 4.0 final drive...havent any track time though...
it think for that horse power its gonna be too short...
