Last Post Of Mine About JDM ITR Tranny On My LS
Ok I have pretty much made my mind up on buying my JDM ITR tranny w/ LSD. My questions is will it matter much that i only have a 7200 rpm limit with this tranny like will it get annoying while cruising on the freeway or is it not that bad. also with this improve my car alot. Some people say I should just get the GSR or SI tranny for an LS but I think i want the LSD. Also I already have a 7.5lb fly wheel that will fit the JDM ITR tranny so i think that would be a pretty nice set up any thoughts on this swap into my integra

at 80 in 5th gear you will be turning about 4500rpm, you're max speed will be just above 100. i have one and its not that bad, just that my car is so loud anyways so crusing on the highway can be hard for any real distance, youre other option is to go with a usdm R tranny to get the revs a bit lower for crusing

The shorter gear ratios will make your car quicker, but your top speed will be limited, due to your lower redline. SI and ITR trannies have the same gear ratios, the ITR just has the LSD. If your going to be doing alot of highway driving, you can swap an LS 5th gear into the ITR tranny before you get it put into the car, and have the best of both worlds.

hey guy i got a setup almost like urs but i have a 9lbs fly
dont worry about cruising on the freeway you will get use to revving high after u drive it for awhile. 80mph is about 4500 in 5th and max speed b4 i bounced off the limiter was 122mph. HTH

in the qtr mile i improved like .3 -.5 secs
my best was 16.06 and i had subs, amps, and bald tires. with the stock tranny i ran 16.3 - 16.8
and during the highway the car acclerates like nothing its really nice!! but be prepared to shift hella quick in the city cuz its got some short *** gears.
