Default Which tranny would YOU get for this setup?

GSR all motor
will be turbo'd by end of April
car is a daily driver and not a huge drag racer but it sees the track atleast once a month in season...

I have the options to:
rebuilt my GSR tranny
buy ITR tranny (afraid this might hurt me gearing wise, when I turbo)
buy LS tranny (I hear its good for the boosting option)

ITR tranny, why would it hurt you?? Longer gears don't necessarily help. Look at Subaru's STi's gearing,,,quick as ****** bruh!

Why do people keep pushing LS gearing for boosted setups, where optimal performance is concerned??? As though these motors are making so much power and revving so quickly that short gearing is actually a problem...? Reality check: the average boosted Honda 4 cylinder is making NOWHERE NEAR enough power to have that be a concern. Perhaps when you either reach severe traction problems or around 600hp you can dig into the concept of long gears, but at street power levels the shorter tranny will definitely provide superior performance.

Texan you took the words out of my mouth

Unless ur runnin 27PSI, with 150 Shot of NOS or making close to 460hp you don't need that LS tranny. Even a GSR with LSD is just fine

I had an ls trans. I was running a 00 Si with a B16 and had 260 whp boosted. With the b16 trans I thought that the gears were a little to short, if I just touch the gas in first it would just instantly hit the rev limiter. When I changed to the LS I had TOO MUCH top end. I was hitting 140 in 4th gear. At the track on 24in slicks I was able to hit 13.3 at 107 but was barely even in 4th gear good. It is great for regular expressway driving or racing but for drag racing or auto X it sucks ***, but I was king of the expressway when I had the LS. (killed sr20DET's, RX-7's and even a supra, 91 body style with upgraded turbo)
