With a USDM ITR tranny it should top out at 126. Even with a 4.9 FD, you should see 113. That's at 6800 RPM, and since the fuel cutoff is higher than that (like 7000? don't remember), you should be able to go a little bit faster than that. Keep in mind that neither your speedo nor your tach are 100% accurate.

Haha, run out 5th until rev limiter. Seriously, LS trannys aren't exactly rare. If you're that tired of the short gearing, I'm sure you could sell the ITR tranny and buy an LS tranny and make some good money in the process.

Well, if you really are hitting redline in 5th at around 110, then it sounds like you must have a 4.9 final. You could try to find someone who has an R with the stock final and wants a 4.9 and just trade with them. I seriously doubt you'll ever need more than 126.

My friends JDM ITR 98 spec tranny doesn't even top out at 130 he can go to like 150. it's just because you LS motor can't wind out to 9 k.
