hey h-t guys i just bought one clean *** 97 civic ex 4dr 5 spd, and one of my guys just gave me a thermal exhaust out of his 2dr si, would that fix on my 4dr? also is there any thing else i need to for 2000 front end conversion?cause i ordering a 2000 cf hood, si grill, 2000 oem front bumper, and also some jdm headlights, but for the fenders do i need to change those too? and would everything screw in right or would i have to make new holes? and how much difference in hight is the si front springs from my ex front springs?

you will need 99-00 fenders and they will bolt right in you may need to change something in your front radiator support, im not sure though. As for the si springs there is no height difference they are just stiffer then the EX ones. For the thermal exhaust I would measure it out and see, it should fit if anything it will just be a little short

You will need the fenders also. I believe the exhaust will be close. I have never swapped between sedan and coupe, but it looks as if the wheelbase is the same. And the overall body length seems the same also. Maybe somebody with a little more knowledge on these two can answer your exhaust question better. But the fenders you will definitely need 99-00.

the exhuast should bolt right on, friend bought an exhuast from someone, its was a coupe exhuast on his 4 door, it fit just fine.

as they have already said you need everything from the 99-00 and youll need to modify the bumper or the bumper mounts on core support.

Forget the front end conversion. You have and 97 and it looks better anyway. You can always sell the car and get a 98-00 for the same price to make it that way (or cheaper) and it'll 100% be better than half aligned. for research, OP.

hey the exhaust off a em1 or any 2 door civic coupe will not work you can use any exhaust off any civic sedan 4 door from 92-00 though so eg or ek sedans only and same goes for eg coupe n ek coupes and hatches etc ej's whatever and yes you need full 99-00 front end so front bumper hood fenders grill headlights all need to be 99-00 civic well good luck !

and what proff of that do you have? as i already said, my friend met this guy that had a coupe exhuast on his 4 door and it fit just fine, he now has a coupe exhuast on the 4 door and everything fits, he measured them and said they were the same length for the b pipe.

and you cannot use a hatch axle backs on coupes or any other car, they are not only shorted but a differnt design, they will need modifaction to fit!

I converted my 97 sedan front end to 2000 and the grille is also different. I bought a jdm carbon fiber hood for $450 from can't remember who. I also brought some cheapo fenders for like $30-50 each (can't remember) and the fenders don't fit worth a ****. Do yourself a favor and buy honda fenders for $130 each. My fenders aren't even close to aligning up with the hood, but I suppose it could be the hood but I'm pretty sure it's those cheap *** fenders !!!!!!!! I shimmed the mounting bolts the best I could and it still looks like ****.

Your information is mildly retarded, your spelling and grammar is completely retarded. I grade you F-.

2 door and 4 door exhaust will work between the years 92-00, I know this because I have done it personally, which obviously you have not.

With dumb post like this I would be scared too. Because any exhuast of a D15B will fit on you D16Y8. I always fit D15 parts on D16 because the displacement is "near" the same. No that's wrong yes the transmission fits but that's it.
