GSR Shredding JRSC Belt under load...
Sold my JRSC GSR to a friend and now it is shredding the super charger belt when he puts his foot in it. Says he can drive around for a weeks without stepping on it and the belt is fine, but as soon as he drives it hard the belt tries to walk off the pulley. It was fine for the five years I had the car with the JRSC. Started after he broke the alternator drive belt. What would cause this? Any ideas?
Nose pulley and stepper pulley not aligned correctly.
A few washers should do the trick.
Most probably the alternator pulley is off, so just put some washers behind it to align it with the nose pulley.

Could the belt breaking have caused this pulley misalignment? Bent the alternator bracket? Something he did when trying to change the belt? I appreciate the help, thanks.
Pulley alignment is the culprit. Check the pulley near the alternator and the alternator itself.
Has your friend changed any of the pulleys yet? If you sold him a used kit, his best bet is to probably buy new pulleys, belts, and re-align everything.

Thanks guys. Checked it out today and it looks like when he replaced the idler pulley he somehow got it shimmed out to far from the bracket and it is forcing the sc belt off the nose pulley. I told him to get that aligned, and if that doesn't work start shimming other pulleys. Appreciate all the responses and I'll post the results.
