15 vs 16
I'm running 205/50/15 azenis. Pretty cheap right now from discount tire direct about 290 for 4 after 80 rebate and 30 bcb.
Funny how we think tires are expensive, I feel bad for those guys that need to buy 18"+ tires.

Expensive is a relative term. Check the recent tire threads for good tires to buy. Azenis are no longer the best bang for the buck. Are you looking for daily drivers, track only, or combo tires?

-Are you talking about having a seperate set of rims for track days, or just rims to be on the car all the time?
-I couldn't see it making much of a difference whether you used 15" or 16" rims...it's mostly about the tires...if you're looking to shave hundreths of a second, by all means, go with 15" rims if it really makes a difference.
-Personally, i'd go with what looks better--obviously the car isn't some 600WHP monster that you'll only drive at the track, so why not go with what looks better?
-If you have the money to invest in a seperate set of wheels for the track, by all means do so...but from what i've seen, street tires, regardless of rims size, give you the same result--spinning.

No! That's too big. 205/50-15 works fine. And you're better off FIRST deciding on your tire size, and THEN deciding on your rim width.
There are NO good 15" tires available in 215 widths. None.
You don't mention what kind of tires you plan on using. If you want to use sticky street tires like the Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec, Bridgestone Potenza RE-11, Yokohama Advan Neova AD08, Kumho Ecsta XS, or Toyo Proxes R1R, they are all available in 15" and 16" sizes for the ITR (195/55-15, 205/50-15, 205/45-16, 215/45-16). However, if you expect to switch to R compound track tires at some point, none of those are available in 16" sizes to fit, so you'll be better off with 15" rims for that reason.
