93 gsr HELP.................
alright I swap in a 98 ls motor for the time being, I just started the car today and the oil light come on then faded out then come back on and stay on. im still using the p61 ecu but I know that I need a pr4. I took one of the sensor off the b17 and put one in the b18 so there one plug behind the motor cause there no (I think ) knock sensor on the ls, so what could it be.........

im pretty sure the oil light only comes on if there is hardly any oil or the sensor is not hooked up,,,you did check the oil in the new motor right?
^^come on now........... when I brought the motor I change the oil tha was in the motor and put new oil in, but im sure the sensor is hook up. Im going back to the house today to make sure....................... anybody else has any other idea...
it can be the oil pump. mine was doing that in my gsr. the motor went to **** too
I HOPE NOT......but could it be that im running a vtec ecu with a nonvtec motor and that why the oil light comes on..........(btw im not driving the car just to start the motor to see how it runs)
no it shouldnt do that, it comes on when the car has low oil pressure = no oil or bad pump

haha sorry, sometimes the obvious is overlooked
to make a long story short, the motor was bad and the plan was to rebuild it stock. I try to get pistons and stuff from acura but everything on back order and they dont know when they will have it. this is my only transportation and I need the car back on the road to find a job....................
well, I did think about that but I was going way over my limit and I want to keep it original. dont worry I still have the motor and when the time is right I'll have it back in the car
