I have a 93 del sol with a b16a2 I have tried jumping the service check connector to diagnose the problem but it shows there is nothing wrong, after a few minutes of driving it (CEL)pops back on, funny thing is that everytime i turn the car off it goes away as tho i have reset it (on my other honda car if there is a CEL it remains on). I'm trying to pass emission/smog but I cant with this CEL.

currently running a P30 ECU, I was told it might be the knock sensor?

sounds like a knock sensor. but next time it comes ons, dont turn off your car and check your cel just to be sure.

just did it code 23 pops up, it is the knock sensor. Now does anyone know how to fix it?

or get an ecu without a knock sensor

 

I heard their is a way you can wire to fix the problem also, so I was actually thinking of doing that, because Im trying to sale the car after I pass emissions...so not really trying to spend more money on the car...

thats how i passed, taping to the fuel rail did not work for me. i put the transducer between the spark plug cover and the valve cover, this trick does work good luck.

it may not work right away it took me a few trys and i was getting pissed thinking it doesn't, if it doesn't work on the rail or where i put it try somewhere else. good luck

I was try the CEL code and have 2: fist number 45 and later 67.

what can be the couse of this?
