Default Fuse Panel Wiring EG

on my CX, the previous own has the fog lights/running lights/stereo all wired up to one another. In other words, when i turn on the running lights, my stereo and fogs come on.

They are all wired to an optional slot onto the underdash fuse panel, the slot is associated with fuse 19, which controls the running lights.

There are other optional slots on the fuse panel.

The one on the far right is for the ACC, first click of the key in the ignition, the stereo should be wired to this.
Next to that, is where all three systems meet up and is associated with fuse 19, so if that fuse blows, i have no running/tail lights, stereo, or fogs.

Now for my question, the remaining 3 options, i wanted to know how exactly they worked. 2 of them say "BAT" which im assuming is for the battery and CONSTANT power? The other one i have no clue about.

My plan is to break up these three systems to the way they should be. The stereo will go to the far right, to work with the ACC. As for the fogs, i'll hook up a switch and i want to power it through one of the other optional slots.

Wow, so no one has ever used one of these optional slots? Bunch of ghetto wiring people on here i guess.

The only thing I have run through one of those slots is the OEM foglight wiring harness. I can check which slot my fogs are plugged into if it will help you. My stereo is wired through the factory harness, so I cant help you there.
Is it getting hot down in San Berdo yet? I am originally from Murrieta...

****, yes. Not too bad, but its been in the 80's recently, which is "hot" for this time of year. Global Warming haha

But yea, i'de appreciate if you could tell me which slot you have your fogs into, im betting its either far left, or just next to it, the battery slots.

When i take the stereo out, i'll check to see how the wiring is done. the CX only came with door panel speakers, but this one has tweeters, and two speakers on the rear cargo cover that i've removed recently.

I need to find a diagram of the factory wiring harness. Oh, i dont know if this is a question to ask here, but, how would i properly wire up speakers that DO NOT have any factory wiring going to the stereo?

I mean, since the CX had two speakers, its safe to assume that the harness only has wiring for 2 speakers, unless the stereo harness is the same throughout trim levels, SI had the rear speakers. I know i could splice into the door panel speaks and go from there, but arent speakers supposed to be on their own channel? If they're all connected as one, then the balance/fade is kind of pointless.

80's, ****, we don't get that here in the dead of summer, but yeah that's kinda warm for this time of year. Don't miss it at all...LOL

On my cheap ebay fog harness, it plugs into #2 and on my OEM fog harness that came from NZ, it plugs into #2 and #5.
IIRC all hatchbacks came prewired for rear speakers, should be connectors taped to the body harness, just pop off you speaker deletes and reach down, but I swear that I read that they all were prewired.
I will look to see if I can find the stereo wiring diagram, I got a 93 EG Si that had the plugs cut off and was hardwired, I don't like that, so I ordered OEM plugs from a junkyard and resoldered all the connections on the plug.
As far as adding speakers beyond the typical 4 channel stereo, you can isolate your tweeters via crossover and run them off of your front L/R channels. But I have Alpine's in my doors and rear Gathers dual 5 1/4" speakers in factory location and it is plenty loud enough. I even had the rear's behind the delete for a while, not ideal, but worked until I coud find Si rear speaker grill's.

so you're using two of the optional slots? One for the battery, and then the far right for the ACC?

Edit, i'll check for the speaker wiring, i hope they're all there. It wont be hard to splice the tweeters to the door panel speakers.

When I had the cheap ebay harness, it only required the second from the right #2 acc. But on the OEM, they use #5 Bat and #2 acc feeds. So you should be able to get away with using the acc #2 plug, since it gets power once the key is turned on anyways.

ACC is the #1 plug....#2 is what goes to fuse 19, running/driving lights fuse.

But i know what you mean. My ACC plug is empty right now. I'll see why the stero was wired directly to the lights, there must be a reason why it was done this way.

Thanks for the help, i'll tackle this crap on friday and report back.

I think part of the reason honda runs their fogs to that #2 is that the running/head lights should be on before that fog circuit should be energized. So you cant run around with just your fogs on.

I know what you mean, when i first got the car, the fogs turned on with the ACC. I accidentally kicked the fuse panel i guess and pulled out the plug going to whatever option it was plugged into.

I put the plug back into option 2, fuse 19..but i think it was supposed to be in option 1, for the ACC like you're saying.

UPDATE

Completely re-wired the alarm, cd player, and fog lights.

Turns out that my fog lights were spliced into my alarm, which goes to the ATT slot on the fuse panel. I removed the fog wiring all together so the alarm only goes to the ATT slot.

My stereo wasnt working due to a blown fuse, dont know what happened, but it turns on/off with the ATT.

I tried to re-wire the fogs, using all new wiring and connectors, but i didnt have any luck for some reason. First, i plugged into another Battery slot onto the fuse panel, they stayed on even with the car off, so i dis connected that. Only one light was working by the way.

I then tried to splice into the alarm wiring going into the ATT slot, so the fogs would blink in sequence with the unlock/lock button on my alarm (this is how they were wired when i got the car, i believe). Nothing worked, and then my stereo fuse blew out again, i disconnected the fogs, and the stereo DID NOT blow.

I dont know whats going on, I think i should just plug into the battery slot, then add a switch, and be done with it.
