my throw out bearing needs replacing
so my friend is gonna change out the throw out bearing. and to guide him anyone have any advice? and since im gonna have all of that out anyone reccomended replacing anything else in around there? any info is appreciated! thanks
Replace the rear main crank seal while you are in there. You will have to pull the clutch, but better to do that while the tranny is out than to have to pull all that **** again down the road...
Maybe also the clutch and pressure plate depending how old they are...

the car was sitting so it leaks oil hella bad from i guess the crankshaft seal? the parts its self are old just not too used. like the clutch is okay.
leaking from front or crank? I would still pull the clutch and make sure everthing is cleaned. At the very least the PP and disk might have "bonded" together due to time - you might crack the disk or have chatter issues on start up.

If you believe they are still good, wear on fingers, etc. I would still pull it apart clean up the parts really well, lightly lube the input splines for disk movement, and I might even consider replacing the input shaft bearing/bushing - would probably do this as they don't last forever...
Just to make sure you understand, the input shaft bearing/bushing I was referring to - I should have called it the pilot bushing/bearing - goes into the crank. So I would replace the pilot bushing/bearing. Sorry about that, lots on my mind at the moment. HTH
