Icon2 Rear disc conversion...what brake hose do I need?

I got a complete brake swap from a 97 Integra for my 96 hatchback that I plan to install in a couple of weeks. I am doing both the front and rears and I know I will be needing new brake hoses. I'm trying to find out definitively whether I need to buy hoses for the Integra or do I buy hoses for the 99-00 Si? I've done a lot of reading on the subject but just not sure which hoses to order. I want to get this right the first time. Thanks.

Ok cool. Also, is it true that I will need si shock forks, or will my stock dx units work with the Integra knuckles?

si forks will only fit si lcas as far as i know. they are a bit wider and longer then normal ex,lx,dx.
if it were me, just pop your dx fork out and see if it fits.

Ok I will do that. I am replacing my upper and lower control arms, but they are OEM for my car. I will just see if the forks will work. I have been reading about this swap for a few days now and there is so much info I'm not sure if what I'm reading is true or not. But I don't want to buy parts I don't need, so I will just play it by ear and see how it goes. Thanks!

I have a 2000 Honda Civic HB SE and I would be interested in converting the rears to discs. What parts do I need for this?

I am also looking at converting my rear drums to discs. I have a 2000 Civic Hatchback. What parts will be needed to successfully complete the swap?

did a brake conversion a while ago. you shouldnt need to change forks. its a simple bolt off, bolt on. you may want to upgrade booster, MC and proportion valve too.

i used the integra brake lines that came with it. works fine.

yes, use the lines for the brakes you are putting on. SIs and Integras use the same, btw.

I already know I need a bigger mc and maybe a booster (if I use the Integra mc), but I read that the prop valve for the 96-00 hatches is the same as the one for the Si, so I'm not going to fool with that.

^^ use the 99-00 SI prop valve, the regular ones are made for drums and will give the rear to much pressure and could cause probems. theres been alot of arguments because they have the same part number, but i reccomend useing the SI. and for the master cylnder just use the si, it will bolt right on.

tacchan- get complete civic si rear disk, and break lines, e brake lines, si prop valve.

Its the same f***ing part. I swear if I have to explain this one more time... CX/DX(coupe/hatch)HX/Si all use identical prop valves, regardless of what anyone else may tell you. DX and LX sedans use a different prop valve, as do EX coupes and sedans.

Ok well I'm going to stick with the prop valve I have and see what happens.

no, get a 40/40 valve...its not that hard, well to find maybe because it can be gay to change, but otherwise your swap will be kind of useless.

+1 on the 40/40 valve.

and if I remember correctly the 91 civic sedan has a 15/16" mc that doesnt require any line bending or booster changing. just simple bolt on and fill... dont forget to bench bleed and enjoy your oem brake upgrade

Thats for a '92 - '95 Civic, doesn't work for '96 - '00. For a '96 - '00 Civic you need a MC from a '99 - '00 Si or a '98 - '01 Integra.

And just to prove that CX/DX hatchbacks do in fact use the same prop valve as the Si coupe, see the list below.
