fuel line ?'s for anyone that used the ss ...saw the other posts
hey, i need to replace my fuel lines that go from teh filter to the rail and the rail to wherever...fpr i assume.
i had to cut the stock hosing to remove a Fuel T for a n20 kit that was sold a long time ago...now i just got peices of rubber hose.
i need basically this part....
can i use a aftermarket filter instead of stock to make it easier? i know someone has done just these two lines...was it arturbo? just filter to rail and rail to fpr? or return. im lost...
these are dustins pics...i dont want all the steel goin from tank to engine but just these parts...please help guys.

yes you can use aftermarket filter (actually an aircraft type fuel filter). you can attach AN fitting to the line from the tank and run it thru the filter, then get SS lines from the filter to the rail and so on and so forth. the filter is pricey, and so are the AN fittings and SS lines. but they do look good.

thanks for the reply,
but say i use a aeromotive filter...how do i use the stock line that connects underneath the stock filter to connect to the aeromotive or whatever brand? i dont wanna replace it all the way from the fuel pump. im just doin this to replace a cut fuel line at the filter to rail.

What you need is:
Tubing cutter
37 degree flare tool
AN tube nut
AN tube sleeve
An to AN flare adapter
These parts will allow you to install a male AN fitting onto a hard line, and that way you can connect SS or other AN fitting equipped line to the hard line.
Be aware though that a 37 degree flare tool is not a included with a standard flare tool kit and runs upwards of $100 by itself.

That's the degree of flare that the AN fittings use (the flared ones, which are your standard hose ends, etc). It it's not 37 degrees, it will not line up with the AN flare and will leak.
russell sells a new type of hard line to an fitting.it is a new style of compression fiting that does not require a flare on the tube.i will be installing mine this weekend and i will let everyone know how i make out.i got mine from jegs.
please do let us know. damnt wheres the pic of the one black car that just had braided steel from stock filter to rail and rail to fpr? it might be arturbo;s? i dont know whose ...damnt. it was posted right after dustin finished his. it had part #'s as well...i tried search the archives to no avail.sigh
