HElp!!! ok, i gotta 97 obd2 gsr motor into a 98 civic dx.
The car runs but idles at 2k at normal operating temp. Also needs gas to start but takes about 7-10 cranks. NO VTEC, and the car shuts off whenever it wants to when driving but would start back up in a few seconds.
Note:
Using the org. dx harness with a 97 gsr 0bd2a P72 ecu
did the 3 step wire into a 2 step pinned out on the ivac and by the ecu.
i unclip the "different color" wire on the crank sensor.
hooked up the knock sensor and the vtec in the correct places (FOR SURE)

Car runs like crap...what else am i missing?

what code is the cel throwing i have a gsr in my ek also and i had a cel for my iat and iacv and it wouldnt let my car even run

 

we need to know the what code(s) its throwing to help you.

 

you may have mixed up the TPS sensor plug with the MAP sensor plug, or vice-versa.
