ok so i looked threw the FAQ's already
The directions from ARP are to hand tighten the "studs" into block.
But this is just silly. The way I do it (feel free to jump in guys) is to take an allen wrench and screw them all the way into the block until they stop then back out one turn. Still hand tighten

yes arp should reccommend how to install THEIR ****, but when "hand tightening" the head studs, always turn them 1/4 turn back out. otherwise that defeats the whole purpose of the studs in general! at least thats what my machinist told me
