Default Vibration issue on lowered car

Car is lowered about 3.2 inches. Vibrates on acceleration only. No camber kit. Just replaced axle, issue went away for 1 day, and now has returned. Can the wheels being cambered cause the axle to bind or anything like that, and cause a vibration?

Bad axle. Happened to me a few years back, had to replace the axle 3 times before I got one that didn't vibrate. The inner CV joint is bad.

Ok, I replaced the axle, vibration was gone for 1 day, then it came back again. That's kind of a hassle but at least it's not something expensive.

Just buy axles with a lifetime warranty, replace as needed. LOL!

If I put one hand on the inner axle joint, and one on the shaft, and twist opposite directions, should there be any play? Or should it not budge?

There should be ZERO play between the axle shaft and both joints, but the inner one especially. Any play whatsoever is what is causing your vibration.

Ok, well when I pulled the first axle, it had play, and I checked the new axle before installing, and it had some play too. I guess I'll be taking it back and checking the third one for play on the counter at the parts store.

Edit: When the car is accelerating, wouldn't there be pressure on the joint that wouldn't allow it to vibrate?

happens alot on K swaps. maybe ur car is too low for your set up. my friend replaces 4 axles, then he had to raise up the car just to drive too much of an angle. axle should be as straight as poss

At certain speeds there's just some sort of harmonic frequency that causes it to vibrate like that. Believe me, it's happened on my old Camry, MANY times on my Integra, and on my wife's Corolla.

I just replaced the Corolla's axles last week. The car had been vibrating on acceleration forever, but only above 55 mph. Replaced the axles with brand new GS-P axles from Advance Auto and no more vibration FINALLY!

All righty, I'll replace the axle again and see what happens.
