Has this motor been running full synthetic prior to you changing the oil?
How many miles are on the motor?
It isnt a good idea to start using full synthetic if your motor is used to drinking standard motor oil. People will (should) tell you, that this could be a nightmare, all of the sludge that is "helping" the motor could be eaten away by the synthetic oil. This could cause leaks both internally and externally.
Full synthetic should only be used if,
A) New car, only a couple hundred miles
B) Has been using full synthetic when you got the car/motor.
C) Head/block has been machined/rebuilt, therefore being "new".
If your car falls under one of those 3 circumstances, then go ahead and use Royal Purple.

i say 5w30 and keep an eye on it, if its burning oil stop useing full synthetic, and either go to a blend or just normall oil.
if it helps my friend runs 5w30 mobile 1 full synthetic in his b16 and its just fine.

A South Jersey person would ask that question, haha.
I kid I kid. Buy whatever is on sale at advanced auto and run that bitch,5w 30 10w 40, Doesnt matter. It isnt gonna make a lick of difference. Unless you have been running synthetic oil previously. Advanced auto always has castrol oil on sale and i put it in my C5 motor, Change it every 5k, No issues.
