Ok, Long Story Short ... Spun Bearing In Old Motor, Bought Used, 90-Day Warranty Motor From Local Reputable Auto Supplier ...

Dropped It In ... Smoked Like A Cigarette, So ... Yanked The Head Off This Morning And Changed The Gasket ...

Now ... Still Smokes, And Temp Runs Up In The Red ... Add Antifreeze = Smokes More ...

I Don't Get It.

Any Suggestions ?

I'll give you the obvious one: use that 90-day warranty! Even if you manage to change some parts and get this thing to run properly, it will be worse in the long run. Clearly the motor was not maintained well...

Nah, Head Is Fine Checked For Cracks And Straight Edged The **** Out Of It. Yea ... I Think That Warranty Is Looking Good Right Now. This SUCKS ! lol

 

Ok, PinPointing Some Things Out Here ... There Is White Smoke Coming From Under The Intake Mani, Only When I Add Antifreeze ... Also, That Same Smoke Comes From the Exhaust When I Add Antifreeze ... Hmmmm I Can Understand The Exhaust, But From Under The Mani ?

 

are you sure you made the right water hose connections? i just finished doing a headgasket job as well. my car started smokin out the exhaust but i let it idle for like 45 min and it went away.
