Default 99 civic Overheating Problem!!! NO Clue WHY

I bought the car had no problem then after a few months it started overheating bought some coolent cuz it was low...Then a few weeks later it overheated again so this time i just put water in it an thought it had a leak looked for the leak and nothing! i add more water to it and in a couple of days its gone and overheats! i changed out the thermostat and still have the problem
and the car dosent smoke so i dont think its burning the water.

So Help What to do????

When you remove the radiator cap (when engine has cooled), do you see bubbles or oil in the coolant?

It's also possible that some auto parts stores will rent the device. Call around to find out.

Autozone will loan a lot of things for "free". You pay for it, then when you bring it back they give you the Cash back.

Yeah if you're fans aren't turning on then that could possibly be you're problem. I had an accord with the same symptoms and finally realized the fans weren't kicking on and then I fixed that and it was fine. Also when the heater core went out it would overheat. But i also wouldn't have heater either. Good luck

the fan is not going to turn on if there is no/low coolant in the system. you have a leak, you need to have the system pressure tested. coolant cant just disappear.
