99 civic Overheating Problem!!! NO Clue WHY
I bought the car had no problem then after a few months it started overheating bought some coolent cuz it was low...Then a few weeks later it overheated again so this time i just put water in it an thought it had a leak looked for the leak and nothing! i add more water to it and in a couple of days its gone and overheats! i changed out the thermostat and still have the problem
and the car dosent smoke so i dont think its burning the water.
So Help What to do????

yeah, i am in the same boat already replaced a head gasket, put new head bolts on and still have this problem.got a good friend and cert mach looking at it now....no smoke no oil in coolant or coolant in the oil...she just runs above norm alot...coolant keeps evaporating bc of heat..fan works and new (190) thermo. who knows we will see..
Yeah if you're fans aren't turning on then that could possibly be you're problem. I had an accord with the same symptoms and finally realized the fans weren't kicking on and then I fixed that and it was fine. Also when the heater core went out it would overheat. But i also wouldn't have heater either. Good luck
