Some oil in the coolant mixture.
Well I was working on my car today and I had to put some water in a container to refill my radiator. I noticed that in the container had some motor oil. I rinsed out the container until I saw clean water come out. Well when I fill the container up and poured the water into the radiator, I noticed some traces of motor oil bloches in the coolant/water mixture in my radiator. Will my car be okay with that very little motor oil in my radiator? Or will I have to flush the radiator system out. Thanks for your help.
two things. 1) im sure it will be OK for the time being, but ifit were me i wouldnt drive it any further than to the parts store for a headgasket. 2) Youshould probably flush the system, as things like your thermostat, water pump, and temp sensor were designed for water, not oil, which are two VERY different things.
Sounds like a bad headgasket, I would change it asap!

Try flushing the system before doing anythine else. It is possible that some oil got into the water jacket if the engine has ever had the head off. And this could just be the residue. However, if oil just started to appear in the coolant for no obvious reason (ie the head was not off since you last saw oil-free coolant), this is more reason for alarm.
