so i turned on my car after working on it all day...everything was cool except the egt guage was reading below the zero...i was like WTF..............so i took the probe out of the manifold and the little tip was bent over on the side like it had been hit by something....****** bullshit....so i tried to bend it a little bit towards where it was supposed to be and it cracked right off....i'm so pissed off right now....i resealed the whole turbo today(gaskets and stuff) in the search for finding my boost problem and then this **** happens....is there anywhere that i can get another egt probe for an autometer guage besides having to order it?

this is why i mounted my probe on my downpipe and not my manifold... broken probe = f'd up turbo. you should be able to get ones from optauto.com or any company that caries the brand egt that you have.

 

is it still accurate on teh downpipe ?
autometer recommends this over the manifold for turbo cars...

 

its a 300* degree difference between the correct placment which is the number 1 cylinder runnner as opposed to the dp

i would also like to know where to get a universal probe instead of autometers $100 probe........?
