car: 1993 civic hatch turbo
motor: stock jdm gsr block, built jdm b16 head

here is the problem, we just got the motor together and had it tuned with vtec working. never had a problem out of it till now.

things ive checked:
oil level is good
coolant temp sensor is good
vtec solenoid is good
continuity from vtec solenoid to ecu
continuity from vtec oil pressure switch to ecu
the ground from the oil pressure switch
vss is working

and no there is no check engine light

 

i haven't had much experince yet with fixing vtec issues so im just gonna say take it back to the shop and see if the tune just got messed up...which sounds pretty impossible.

did you change the switchover point when you did it?

 

im sure the vtec engagement was moved, the car was also taken to the tuner yesterday and they hooked it to the laptop and said it wasnt working, didnt give any reasons why it wasnt working tho....

well is there oil pressure at the solenoid, oil getting up to the valve train? the oil holes are tiny and could get clogged up, check the screen on the solenoid?
