Default Stolen motors (VIN NUMBERS on ENGINE)

I bought a teggy dc with a b16a2 engine and tranny, I didnt know much about hondas but later on I learned that I have a stolen motor because tranny vins are snapped off and block vins are scratched.... I havent gotten my plates yet so Im planning on buying a legit gsr block and going poor man's type r... as for my tranny Im gonna buy an LS tranny and switch out everything in the b16 tranny into the LS one... Im just worried about my head!!!! does the head have vin numbers on it????

Only the transmission have the vin number on it. You wont be able to identify if a block or head is stolen.
