B16 Turbo Build Questions
I’m at the final stages of building a B16 with .57 JDM Sport (ebay crap) turbo system. I need some professional advice on where to go from here.
I built the engine to handle just about anything. Current set up is Crower Rods, 9:1 Wiesco Pistons, ACL bearings, balanced crank, ARP head studs, eagle block guard, cometic head gasket, bored out, Stage 2 clutch. The car has a stock top end. New stock axles.
I’m going back and forth between a target 325 – 450hp at the engine. 660cc injectors will get me about 450hp, but will around town drivability be affected? Should I be more conservative with the HP because of the crappy turbo system, stock trans and axles? The car is going to be a daily driver for the most part. It's not going to be launched hard much, etc.
Anyone out there been running the a similar setup? Can I learn from your mistakes?

the daily driving aspect will be affected by the larger injectors...which means your mpg will go down but if its ok with you then it will be fine. also, i would be conservative with the ebay turbo. a friend boosted his single cam on an ebay kit and the wastegate spring somehow broke and he ran around 17psi on his stock z6. put a hole in the block. i would run it conservative on boost until you get a good charger and a legit tune. then you will be fine. but plz make sure you get it tuned asap. that was another problem with my friends single cam. no tune. make sure you do it right the first time.
