It's knocking, it knocks when it's just sitting so I know it's not the axles.. We have another b20 to swap into it though so I'm good. Any tips for swapping it? Also it revs up when it's idling like it has a vacuum leak, anyone know how to fix this? Like just plug the vaccum lines that don't go to anything or what?

well if there are any open vacuum lines then that would definitely do it. if after everything is plugged off you still have a problem with a high idle then try adjusting your idle screw in the throttle body

its not a high idle, its an idle surge

First swap in the replacement motor, then diagnose the vaccum leak.

( just so you dont spend time looking for it, and end up being a gasket that you are replacing anyways. )

my friend took it apart to build up a b20vtec, noticed the sleeve was cracked a tiny bit so decided to get another b20. we putt this one back together with the original bearings and rings (i know i know) because we knew it was gonna blow up anyway so why waist money on new rings and bearings. then we putt it in the hatch and 3 weeks later its knocking. so were going to put the other b20 in without rebuilding it or anything, just swapping it straight it. with GSR tranny
