The internals make it worth it, but when you try to piece stuff together it never works out well.

$700 block
$500 Head
$750-$1k tranny
$150-$200 ECU
$150 Axles
$100 shift linkage
$300-$500 misc.
= one big *** headache trying to find everything. Plus it's still only a 1.6L. Trust me go 1.8L if you are staying all motor. Just my .02 cents

its worth it if you have all the other parts to it, but if you dont than dont even bother with it cause it'll cost you a lot of $$ in the long run

no, mostly because that is not a complete shortblock.

Ok thanks guys. This is my first swap of anykind and ive heard of people buying stuff like this and getting a much better deal, but i guess for a 1st timer its probably not the best idea in the world. Im just hoping im goin to have the $$ to do this soon.

I think i will...I mean the guy selling goes to Clemson as well, and i know him and stuff, and he said he'd assemble the engine when i got the parts and such, but if its goin to be more than a c1 then i dont see a point really.
i wish i could just get alot of money RIGHT NOW! i hate having to save.

You will never find a complete GSR swap for less than 3k us. It's more like 3300-3800us.

Ya better off getting a complete swap. Only reason to get this block is if you already have an existing b16a swap and you threw out a rod busting the cylinder wall. Its hard to piece together a swap, too much of a and costs more in the end.
