Icon3 What to do - OBD1 with Hondata but need an OBD2 for Inspection

So I have a 98 ITR, modded as listed in my profile, I had an S200 system that I sold 5 years ago when I put the car in storage but kept the chip, I plan on getting an S100 and a P28 or P72 and dropping it back in the car. My problem is that in those 5 years the state changed from a roller dyno test to an all computerized test All OBD2 cars must be connected to their computer and tested, anything under a 96 just passes that part. So running an OBD1 ecu will be a big problem in this case.

Anyone else run into a similar situation or have a work around? Its not like I can just throw the original ITR Ecu back in while running 12:1 compression and Toda C's.

do you have any idea what kind of timing the maps in the s200 chip has?
you can pull some timing via distributor to get close to those values in the low rev range and baby the car for a few days till you can pass with the stock ECU, then drop back to OBD1 again.

keep in mind you have to drive an OBD2 ECU for a couple days to clear the readyness flags. (some codes require "drive cycles" to make them actually clear, this stops people from simply clearing the codes right before testing)

there has been some people that have experimented with a few other methods but it's not recommended, and even less legal.

im having the exact same problem with my 97 gsr semi built with ctr pistons and toda c's and 370s. I put an ls p75 ecu in since i dont have the stock intake with the butterflies, put stock injectors back in and the o2s. But i keep fouling out the plugs bc its running so rich and throwing a code for misfire in each cylinder. Got the fp turned down to like 35 but gonna turn it down some more and got a set of hotter plugs ngk bkr5e. I had to drive the car for a good 100 miles til the cycle went threw and finally threw those codes. I dont wanna reset it but dont know if the codes will clear when i put the new plugs in either.
