What is the best turbo book out there?
I've been wanting to turbocharge my car for a few years, but never really learned enough to do it. I want a book with reliable information on turbocharging cars (honda specific). I now have a decent amount of cash to finally build but I want to learn before hand so I don't buy the wrong thing.
I found http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...83814?v=glance , but it has both good and bad reviews.
Thanks :D

Street Turbocharging by HP Books
http://www.amazon.com/Street-Turboch...ref=pd_sim_b_6
easier to read that Maximum Boost, but that is still a great book.

this is the quote i was looking for from Corky Bell's Maximum boost. bad *** book on turbo theory. through the first chapter so far.(i quoted this from a thread a long time ago. i still need to finish the book.)
""the power enhancing capability of the turbo charger has been most thoroughly demonstrated by the grand prix racing cars of the 1977-88 era of formula 1
the comparison of a top fuel dragster with that of a formula 1 race car will establish the turbo's credentials. current output of top fuel cars with a 500 cid engine is suggested to be 5-6000 horse power. which calculates to be about 10 hp per cubic inch. these numbers are not favorable compared to the 1300-1400 hp 90 cubic inch qualifying engines for the 1987 formula 1 cars. these outputs represent 14-15 hp per cubic inch.""
i am pretty sure the book was published in 1997. i know top fuel is pushing 8000 hp now, but even still, thats still 16 hp per cube. just some food for thought. i am not a reader, but this book is very interesting. i am liking it so far. it is a good way to see the net power gain from a turbo and the net power gain from a super charger. this post is a cliff notes version. but the book is really good so far.
i have maximum boost, forced induction performance and tuning, and some other book I cant remember the name of.
forced induction peroformance tuning from what I remember was a little more basic than maximum boost (great book)
