9 no 1 cylinder pos.. goes away and come back???
16 injectors more offten than 9
20 eclectical load which i changed my ground and went away..

Have you tried a known-good distributor? They're usually bad on junkyard engines.

Sputting while driving can be due to a lot of fuel or a bad ignition system, I'm pretty sure.

if the motor came from a junkyard, more than likely it is bad unless your motor was a rebuilt motor was rebuilt
I would say more than likely, the motor is bad!
I mean it did start, so I am probably wrong, but I would never in my life buy a junk yard motor unless I was planning to rebuild it

my junk yard motor pulled me to 15.2 before I destroyed my car... it all depends on their integrity.

in what oreder do your plug wires go? mine right now are 1324 is that right? i cant remember what order they cam off my motor.

i did replace the main and rod bearings..the motor does not smoke..it just gives codes at random.. and now the computer gets no power..WTF.

ireally dont know what to do now..

the wires go 1-3-4-2 in a clockwise manner. that maybe part of the problem. and the #1 cylinder mark is the C with a circle around it.

I've been trying to help him out with this, When he first got it together it was starting, but the idle was surging a little, and it wouldn't rev past 3500 rpm (this is when he was getting the codes). now it's not running at all, it's turning over, just not firing up. I'm thinking one of his wire splices has come loose or is touching another wire (original prob) but now that has fried the ECU. I haven't accually seen the car in person, but this is what I gathered from our IMs. anyone else have any other Ideas?

the rule of thumb for a car that won't start is:

1. check for spark. check all the spark plugs to see if they all spark. if they don't continue down this road.

2. check for fuel.

that should let you know where to start looking.

your problem is that your sparkplug wires are on wrong.

the have to be like this

Cylenders are: Passengers side 4-3-2-1 Drivers side

On distributor

Firewall 3-4 Radiator
1-2

thats why your car wont run right
