Default Revving? ECU maybe?

I have a 90 hatch si. has a d15b7 in it and it revs almost constantly.
I've cleaned out the iacv but i noticed that my ecu says it came from a 91 integra. is that ok? or is there one i should go with

Look for if the throttle cable is too loose or too tight, there are two locking nuts.

adjusting the throttle isn't going to change squat.

does this engine have a fitv on the underside of the throttle body? if so, it can cause erradic idle. with the engine running unplug the iacv and see if the idle drops down to normal. if it does, then you need to replace it. if it doesn't, then your problem lies elsewhere.

That is why I stated to check first and he stated that it revs constantly not erratic

b7 doesnt have a fitv. youve either got a bad iacv broken or stuck pcv valve or other large vaccum leak. i will say that cleanin an iacv doesnt always work. its a stepper motor that can and does go bad. try replacing it with a known good one before you say its working. or take of intake tube and plug the hole in throttlebody that leads to iacv if car stalls or comes down to normal its prob bad.

the b7 does have a fitv stock. maybe yours doesn't, but it should be there.

when he said revs almost constantly i interpreted that as constantly revving up and down, not revving at a constant. it was poorly worded and we'll have to wait for the op to clarify.

Don't thread jack, its rude. message a moderator if you don't know how to search or start your own thread.

"Constant high idle" to be specific? You could also try bleeding your radiator. air bubbles can get stuck in tubes and throw things off. just an idea.

Take it to a mechanic, sounds like an easy fix.

Could be a poorly adjusted cable or a vacuum leak. Either way, someone who knows what they're looking out shouldn't have any trouble fixing it swiftly.
