thinking about changing out the compressor wheel

 

why r you changing out the compressor r you looking for more power faster spool we need a lil more infor

 

the wheel got damage due to sucking in the mesh cover. so im trying to see what is out there for a compressor wheel replacement. turbo still work fine with slight chips on the tips wheel and maybe slight bends.

 

What part of CA you in? I know a guy that can help you, i had a similar issue with a 40R and he was able to replace the wheel and rebalanced the turbo on a VSR, PM me if you want more info, good luck.

 

you can only put a stock replacement wheel back on unless you machine the backing plate to accept a bigger wheel

 

Yep.. The actual GT3076R wheel only comes with the cartridge but there are replacements that are similar. They are only the same size, though and not larger.

do you know who sells replacement wheel for the turbo? or can mod. the backing plate for a bigger wheel?
