WEIRD SMELL IN AC SYSTEM!
Need help guys. I have a 97 delsol. And everytime I turn the ac on it has a stink wet smell. I read a thread once that had the same car and some kind of smell. And he fixed it buy changing a fuse or relay. What fuse or relay is that and is that right? Can you get rid of that buy just changing a fuse? Help! Thanks.
Today I noticed that when I turn the heater on the smell goes away! Is it the same problem with the mold and stuff? I really need to take that smell out. It really smells bad. And I use the the ac alot. Even when the ac is not on I can still kine of smeel it. It's that's bad. Help. Help

no you need to flush out your a/c system. it has build too much moist in it and the smell is coming from the mold. get that done with a new refill and it'll be colder and it'll smell like nothing.
Do'nt listen to him. Flushing out the A/C will do nothing to get rid of the smell. The smell you are smelling is mold that grows on the evaporator core inside the vehicle. As the evaporator cools down (during A/C operation), moisture from the air condenses on the evaporator core and eventually drips down and out through a vent which exits at the bottom of the firewall (this is why you see water dripping out of the bottom of your car when the A/C is on). So in your case the vent may be fully or partially blocked causing excesive moisture build up and mold growth. So make sure that the vent is clear, then put your cars HVAC system in re-circulation mode. After you've done that spray some lysol or other disinfectant spray in the area of the recirc. door too hopefully kill the mold.
