Post What shift linkage can i use for hydro clutch for my Ef?

I have a 88 Honda civic sedan and i im going to swap a turbo'd d16y8 into it and I've been asking around and i cant seem to get a answer i don't really want to spend a lot of cash on a hasport shift linkage.... i already have the hasport cable to hydro adapter... so i was wondering if there is a alternative shiftl linkage i can use any help will be greatly appreciated!!

Use the stock linkage from the cable trans, you'll need to drill out the holes on the base of the stabilizer arm to slide it over to the right (pass side) where it mounts to the trans. If you don't the shifter bars will rub, and you'll be questioning what gear you're in. You don't need to move it over much, maybe 3/8 inch. My bars touch ever so slightly when going for 1st or 2nd gear, but you'll never notice when driving. If a photo helps, I'll try to snap one next time car is on the stands.

Why not just keep the cable tranny? It bolts up to the D16y8 motor. It would save you the hassle of doing the hydro swap.

gear ratio on the cable trans is better adn they are a LOT cheaper to replace and find in junkyards in awesome shape.

I'm not going to say you can't make 465hp, but with that kind of power you will have had to spent some very serious cash for such a setup!!!!
The engine would have to be built from the bottom up....sleeved, forged rods and pistons. You would need both a big time fuel up grade as well as cooling system, plus a good engine management system.......have you done all this????

yes i have i spent a lot of time buying all the parts i need to make that much horsepower out of my d16y8, i started this project when i was 15 years old and i am now 22. as you can tell ive been saving alot of cash to do this much work... i know people will tell my why dont i go with a b-series or k-series but i dont want to be like everyone else. so i decided then (when i was 15) i would for sure get a d16y8 to push out 465hp.... and ive seen alot of single on you tube pushing out more horse power then 465hp so i know it can be done....

Sounds like a nice setup. Can you give us a rundown on what turbo, manifold and engine management system you are using? Pics would be great too.
