b20 vtec block or lsv block for boost which one
ok this is where im lost. i got b20 block with 9.5 to 1 pistons with egle rods golden eagle studs. well the block is done cuz the dumb *** who horn it **** the top sleeve and scard it. so my rods and pistons are good. i also got a b16 vtec head and ls tranny.
my question is should i go get a another b20 block transfer all my part to my new block or go get a ls block for like 200 complete and boost it. i wana to over 250 hp i wana do 12 sec on 1/4 track. both will have stock sleeves.
i was ready to go turbo and took my head off and saw the damage.
which way should i go. stay b20-vtec boosted or go lsv boosted

Well if you went to a ls motor. You would have to get different size pistons because of the smaller bore. if you allready have new pistons rods and studs, just stay with the b20. It should be fine at that hp range. just done rev the **** out of it. thats what i would do.
You can do 250+ hp just with a stock ls bottom end and your b16 head... The pistons you have are 84mm . As LS are 81mm. you will need new pistons if you plan on using them rods with aftermarket pistons.. Just get some new pistons. build the ls block. B20 sleeves are weaker than the ls. you'll be more safe with using the ls block. and your hp goals will be reached safely and easily.
